Growing up I've always had a love for music, it started as watching vevo music videos on repeat to now working toward a career in the industry. Watching performances sitll remains of great intrest to me. NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts and BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge are two outlets I reguraly follow to see covers and acoustic performances. One that I highly recommend is Doechii's Tink Desk performance, it's cool to see how she turns her rap songs into accoustic versions played with a band.
Concerts are one of my favorite place to be, I'm finishing off the year seeing Malcolm Todd, Beabadoobee, and Phoebe Bridgers tour their recently released albums. Live music of any sort is always exciting to me, despite how big or small the artist. Last Febuary I attended a concert for a small artist that goes by the name differentchris at Tantra, and Recently I started going to their jazz nights as well. In the past I've seen artist such as Arctic Monkeys, Harry Styles, and Faye Webster that have all fed into my love for music. This year I want to be more active with the local music scene here in San Marcos. I'm always on the search for any live music or music related even to attend!
Another one of my hobbies includes collecting physical music, specifically vinyl records and cd's. So far I would say I have about 40-50 vinyl and 20 cd's. When collecting I try to be selective about the records I'm buying. In order to be added to my collection I have to have listened to the whole album or know at least half of the tracklist by heart. I also try not to collec the same album on vinly and cd unless it's one of my favorites such as, Carol King's album Tapestry.
