Hey people! My name is Mayah and I'm studying a double major in electronic media and digital media innovation at Texas State. I expect to graduate in spring of 2028 and hopefuly start my journey to a career in the music industry. I'm excited to see what skils and experiences I can gain in and outside of classes this semester. After graduation I hope to either stay near San Marcos or move closer to the music scene in Austin.
I'm from San Antonio but now live near Texas State with my roommate and Finnick (my orange cat). In my free time I like crocheting, runing, and thrifting. I love all things crafts and arts, especially anyting that involves music. A more recent hobby I've picked up is scrapbooking thanks to Scrap Society, a scrapbook/junkjournaling club on campus. I would also like to be more involved with student media, either through KTSW, University Star, or any other volunteer opportunities.
So far my favorite course I've taken is visually storytelling. Through that course I discovered Working with cameras and video editing is something I thoroughly enjoyed. This year I've made it a goal of mine to practice more videography and photography, as well as editing. Being able to be a part of the media world in the music industry is the ultimate goal. I think it would be so cool to have the ability to travel with an artist and create content.
